    What Is an Agent?

    An agent is any monitored device — a server, PC, laptop, router, or network device that sends data to FlowPro NG. This includes Elastic Agents (Linux, Windows, macOS) and Syslog sources (MikroTik, switches, firewalls).

    What Is a Flow Source?

    A flow source is a device that exports NetFlow, sFlow, or IPFIX traffic data — typically a router or L3 switch. Each unique IP address sending flow data counts as one source.
